“One thing I’ve never understood is why moisturiser made for men is always so thin, almost apologetic. I wanted this one to have some substance to it. Something that feels like it was made for a man, not borrowed from somewhere else.
The weight comes from what’s in it. It’s dense with active ingredients, which is why a single step does most of what your skin needs.
The one thing I was sure about is that it had to absorb the moment it touches the skin. That’s what men care about most, and I’m the same. So however substantial it feels going on, it’s gone in almost straight away, and you’re left matte and comfortable for the rest of the day.
What surprised me most is how good it looks. Skin that photographs well, and reads better in the room.

Isn't oily, settles into the skin nicely, and leaves my face feeling refreshed. The metal tube feels distinctive and a bit more premium than the usual moisturisers out there. Does exactly what you want a moisturiser to do without being fussy.

I’ll be honest, I was sceptical about spending £44 on a moisturiser.
But after two to three weeks of using it, I can see a clear difference. It’s evened out a couple of dry patches I could never shift, and my skin genuinely looks better.
I really like the mattifying finish too.
I’m convinced now that it’s absolutely worth it.

Does the Mattifying Moisturiser reduce shine immediately?
Yes. Rice starch helps absorb excess surface oil to provide an immediate mattifying effect. The formula is also designed to support healthier, more balanced-looking skin with continued use rather than relying solely on a temporary cosmetic effect.
Will the Mattifying Moisturiser make my face completely matte?
The intended finish is naturally matte rather than completely flat or powdered. We want skin to look healthy in real life and photography while reducing the unwanted shine associated with excess surface oil.
Can I reapply the Mattifying Moisturiser during the day?
Yes. If you notice unwanted shine later in the day, you can apply a small amount of Mattifying Moisturiser to the areas that need it.
What if I want an extremely matte finish?
The Mattifying Moisturiser is skincare first and is deliberately designed to leave skin looking naturally matte rather than heavily powdered. If you prefer an extremely matte cosmetic finish, a dedicated mattifying primer can be applied after your skincare.
