What The Daily Essentials changes after two weeks
The first benefits were immediate. At two weeks, improved texture, softer dehydration lines, more even tone and better control of excess oil can be becoming part of how the face looks each day.

The first stage of The Daily Essentials is easy to feel. Skin is hydrated, comfortable and less visibly shiny. Just over two weeks in, the routine begins moving beyond the sensation of product on the skin and into a more noticeable improvement in the quality and appearance of the skin itself.
What to look for now
Look at the whole face in natural light. Individual changes may still be subtle, but together they create a clearer result:
- Smoother texture across the forehead and cheeks
- Dehydration lines beginning to look softer
- Pores appearing less prominent as texture and excess oil improve
- A fresher, more even-looking tone
- Less visible shine later in the day
- Skin that remains comfortable for longer
This is the point where the skin can begin to look better cared for, not simply moisturised.
What Hydrating Face Serum is changing
Niacinamide is working across several concerns that often appear together: excess oil, visible pores, uneven tone, rough texture and a weakened barrier.
Hyaluronic acid and glycerin continue drawing water into the skin, helping the surface look smoother and dehydration lines appear softer. Prebiotics support the microbiome and barrier. Chlorella adapts its support as the condition of the skin changes.
The peptide has also begun the longer work of supporting collagen and structure. These deeper changes need more time to become fully visible, but the work is underway.
What Mattifying Moisturiser is changing
Rice starch continues controlling visible shine immediately, while the rest of the formula improves the condition behind the finish.
By reducing water loss, the moisturiser helps the skin remain hydrated and comfortable through the day. Chlorella provides further support for excess oil, prebiotics reinforce the barrier and emollients soften and smooth the surface.
Its collagen-supporting peptide works alongside the peptide in the serum, building support for firmer, smoother and younger-looking skin over time.
Why day 14 matters for oil and redness
In a double-blind split-face study of the Chlorella active, measured sebum was 37% lower and redness was 13% lower than placebo at day 14.
That timing helps explain what can be becoming visible now. Rice starch has controlled surface shine from the first use. Niacinamide and Chlorella have been working on the conditions that influence how much excess oil reaches the surface. The finish is no longer the only part of the result.
What comes next
Smoother texture, softer dehydration lines and better control of excess oil can now be visible. Improvements in the barrier, collagen and skin structure continue to build over the coming weeks.
That is where firmer skin, softer fine lines and a younger, fresher appearance become a larger part of the result.
Here is to two minutes well spent.

What changes can I see after two weeks?
Look for smoother texture, softer dehydration lines, less visible shine, more even tone and skin that stays comfortable for longer.
Can pores actually look smaller?
Pores can appear less prominent when excess oil is better controlled and the surrounding surface is smoother and better hydrated.
Is shine control only coming from rice starch?
Rice starch controls visible oil immediately. Niacinamide and Chlorella support better control of excess oil as continued use builds.

I started YCODE because most skincare was never designed for men’s skin. What I write here is what the formulators taught me, and what the trials actually found.
